First launched in 2008, Up remains one of the pieces that best sums up Saba's approach to problem-solving through design, having answered a question every sofa buyer faces: how tall should the backrest be? Its solid, elegant volumes look clean and linear with the back cushions resting flat, then transform when the movable cushion section is raised, becoming noticeably more enveloping and relaxed to sit in.
For this new chapter, the profiles have been revisited without losing the identity of the original: modular elements are reimagined with curved corners, and the end units lose any visible break between seat and structure, giving the whole piece a smoother, more fluid line. The result is a sofa built to outlast trends rather than follow them.
