Aston does something most modular sofas don't attempt: it folds real, functional storage into the seating system itself. Alongside left and right arm sofas, center or corner units, ottomans, and additional rectangular or square back cushions, Aston offers an optional leather bookcase unit — available in seven different colours — that can be worked into your composition as a genuine hybrid piece, part seating system and part display or storage element. Designed by Jacopo Giagnoni and launched in 2016, it's been part of Papadatos' active collection for close to a decade, categorized not just for residential use but for hospitality and contract settings too — a signal that it's built to handle more demanding, high-traffic use than a typical living room piece.

Underneath the upholstery, the framework uses feather padding, with the seat itself combining various-density foam and memory foam alongside goose feathers set in a specially pocketed sheet designed to reduce settling and displacement. As with other feather-filled Papadatos pieces, expect the seat to develop a slightly looser, more relaxed look over time with normal use — a characteristic of the material, not a flaw.
