Luxaflex External Screens

Description

External Screens mount on the outside face of the glazing, and that position is the entire argument for them. Solar heat is intercepted before it passes through the glass rather than absorbed and re-radiated once it is already inside, so the room behind stays cooler than any internal blind can keep it. Luxaflex describes the screens as protecting the interior from the sun with the added benefit of energy saving, while still providing privacy and light control.

The screen fabric is a technical textile rather than a decorative one: it carries a UV treatment that blocks sunlight and an exclusive technology that prevents the colour fading under constant exposure, and it is woven openly enough that the outlook through it remains largely intact. Two fabric lines are offered, RS Classic and RS Smart, in what Luxaflex calls a vast array of colour options and fabric styles. Motorised operation is available for everyday use.
