Description
Simon takes the idea of a low, grounded double bed and gives it a deliberate sense of ceremony. The frame sits flat on the floor rather than on legs, and its edges curve outward at the base, widening the visible support beneath the mattress. That curve is echoed in the headboard, so the two elements read as a single continuous shape rather than separate parts.
A large upholstered headboard, folded gently in on itself and slightly overhanging the frame, adds softness to what would otherwise be a fairly architectural silhouette. Simon suits a master bedroom built around quiet, considered materials rather than ornament.
