Description
Richard is built without visible feet, its thick, low-set surround curving outward at the base to widen its footprint at floor level. That same curvature runs through the headboard, giving the impression of a mattress resting on a raised, almost sculptural platform.
Every line in the design is worked to create continuity between the headboard and the surround, and a rolled detail at the sides of the padded headboard -- folded back on itself in two gentle curls -- softens the whole composition. Built with fine leathers and soft melange fabrics, Richard brings a monumental, quietly poetic character to a double bed with underbed storage.
