Description
Hermes has been part of Papadatos' collection since 2012, and it shows in how consistently it's described — straight lines, decorative stitching that emphasizes the sofa's three-dimensional shape, and a considered, tailored feel rather than an overstuffed one. That restraint comes through most clearly in the seat: a thin cushion filled with goose feather, chosen for an elegant look rather than maximum bulk, paired with a second integrated cushion that adds support on top for a fuller sense of comfort without losing that tailored silhouette.
Underneath the upholstery, Hermes runs on a solid beech wood frame with wooden legs — a different material approach from the steel-legged, metal-finished pieces found elsewhere in Papadatos' sofa range. Covers are fully removable and washable, and as with other feather-filled Papadatos pieces, expect the seat cushion to develop a slightly looser look over time with normal use — a natural characteristic of the material rather than a flaw.
If you want more room to sit back into, the Hermes 110D variant extends the same design by 10cm throughout — 110cm total depth and 70cm seat depth versus the standard 100cm and 60cm — while keeping the same straight-lined, stitched silhouette.
