Arenal goes further: both the back and arm parts are fully removable, so the sofa itself can be rebuilt as your space changes, not just rearranged within a set of preset shapes. Designed by architect Jacopo Giagnoni, it takes its name from the Arenal volcano in Central America — a real, specific reference point, and one that shows up less as a literal shape and more as an underlying idea: something that can be freestanding and dramatic in a large room, or scaled down and still work in a compact city apartment.
That flexibility runs through the whole module system. Elements come with one arm, no arm, or as corner units, alongside standalone poufs — the kind of building blocks that let you compose a layout specific to your room rather than choosing from a short list of preset sizes.
