Description
San Marco is a coloured glass pendant that can flex to suit very different settings, from a dining table to a grand entrance hall. Each oval shade glows from two points — one beam directed down, one escaping through the coloured glass itself — so the light reads as much as decoration as illumination.
The shades come two ways: one with a graduated finish that fades from opaque into tinted transparency, the other reworking the classic Rigadin pattern, the fine ribbing associated with Murano glass. Hung singly, a shade suits a bedside table or a round coffee table; paired or grouped in three, San Marco works well over a reading corner; massed into a spiral or wave, it becomes a statement over an entrance or reception desk. A rounded metal ring finishes the lower edge of every shade, like a hand cupped around a balloon.
