Description
Privé unites and separates in equal measure, revealing as much as it conceals. Cattelan Italia's indoor room divider takes its cue from Eastern philosophy's search for harmony in opposites, and from the Chinese tradition of folding screens once used to define space while keeping people connected to the natural world around them.
The system is modular, starting from a three-panel configuration built on a lightweight, easily installed metal structure. Each module holds thin wooden panels with a contemporary profile, adjustable to create a shifting interplay of light and shadow. Because it's free-standing, Privé can shape both the day and night areas of a home, arranged in linear, angled, broken or fully enclosed configurations.
The same system also works well at the centre of larger hospitality spaces, where it can define distinct zones without closing them off entirely.
