The Maxim dining table by Cattelan Italia is a sculptural round dining table that celebrates material, craftsmanship and contemporary Italian design. Designed by Pio and Tito Toso, Maxim is conceived as a true table-sculpture, where form and material work together to create a pure, organic and highly distinctive statement piece.
The design is defined by its sculptural base, formed from three soft petal-like shapes. This fluid structure gives the table a natural sense of movement, while highlighting the time, skill and craftsmanship required to shape such a refined design. Like a sculpture emerging from raw material, Maxim brings an artistic presence to the modern dining room.
The base is created through a careful manual process using liquid cement and cold moulding techniques. Available in clay finishes or exquisite Oxy finishes, the surface can be hand-brushed by skilled artisans to add depth, texture and a beautifully crafted appearance.
The Maxim dining table is available in two elegant versions. The round table with a transparent glass top allows the sculptural base to be fully appreciated, making it ideal for contemporary dining rooms and open-plan living spaces. The Maxim Argile version is completely spatulated in clay, creating an even more organic and tactile look.
