Description
Andrea Lucatello's design for Ayrton centres on a generously padded headboard, quilted in a fine diamond pattern and shaped with softly protruding sides that seem to wrap around whoever sits against it. The overall effect is deliberately enveloping, closer to a cocoon than a conventional flat headboard.
That softness is offset by the bed's steel feet, finished with a bright, polished edge that gives the piece a firmer, more structural note underneath the upholstery. The contrast between the two — soft padding above, crisp metal below — is what gives Ayrton its distinct character in a bedroom.
